About the role

SolStak is looking for a Software Developer to design, build and maintain secure applications for sovereign Defence and government mission systems. You will deliver full-stack solutions in accredited environments with a strong focus on quality, security and operational reliability.

What you’ll do

  • Develop web, API and integration services for mission-critical applications
  • Write clean, tested code and participate in peer review and CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate applications with identity, data and platform services
  • Follow secure coding practices aligned with government accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps and project teams on end-to-end delivery

What we’re looking for

  • Strong software development experience with modern languages and frameworks
  • Proficiency with Git, GitLab CI/CD and automated testing practices
  • Understanding of API design, microservices and secure application architecture
  • Experience delivering software in enterprise or government contexts
  • Australian citizenship
  • Minimum two years of proven experience in a relevant role
  • Own GitLab instance and home lab environment (highly desirable)
  • Existing Australian Government security clearance (highly desirable)
  • Industry certifications (highly desirable)
