About the role

SolStak is looking for a Cloud Engineer to architect and deliver cloud-native infrastructure across sovereign Australian cloud and hybrid environments. You will enable secure, scalable platforms for Defence and government mission systems.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement cloud landing zones, networking and core platform services
  • Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Ansible or equivalent tooling
  • Optimise cost, performance and resilience of cloud workloads
  • Embed security controls and compliance requirements into cloud architecture
  • Partner with engineering teams to support migration and modernisation programmes

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with AWS, Azure or sovereign cloud providers in enterprise settings
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code and scripting capabilities
  • Pragmatic approach to delivery in regulated environments
  • Australian citizenship
  • Minimum two years of proven experience in a relevant role
  • Own GitLab instance and home lab environment (highly desirable)
  • Existing Australian Government security clearance (highly desirable)
  • Industry certifications (highly desirable)
